Making Routine Appointments
These are the available options to make an appointment:
Cancelling an Appointment
Home Visits
- Patients too ill or unable to attend the surgery should telephone 02380 612197 to request a home visit. The receptionist may ask for your details so that the doctors can assess priorities.
- We ask that requests for home visits are made before 10.30am unless the need for the visit arises after that time.
- You can also have a home visit by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP.
- You should have a home visit by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby. Also if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
When We Are Closed
Out of Hours
If you need a doctor urgently when the surgery is closed, advice is available from NHS 111, a 24-hour nurse led advice service.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
111 Online
111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally.
Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need to:
- Treat yourself at home
- Go to a Primary Care Centre
If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
Access NHS 111 online or call 111 to speak to a staff member.
Emergencies
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
